Carly is originally from Marion, Ohio, the birthplace of Warren G. Harding (who was arguably one of the nation's worst presidents). She spent her early adolescence on the community theater stage. This way, people could watch her awkward transformation into adulthood from a safe distance.

In 2011, Carly graduated from Syracuse University with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre. Favorite roles include The Narrator in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Harriet in Boy Gets Girl, and Vivian in Revenge of the Space Pandas. Carly also performed original songs in campus comedy shows and saw her one act play, Post Comment, win the Syracuse New Playwrights' Festival. The play was published by Literary Laundry.

After graduating, Carly relocated to NYC. Carly has toured the US (The Civil War, A Christmas Carol) and has performed off-Broadway (Fancy Nancy the Musical). She has also written and performed her own sketches and original characters at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre and has been involved with several workshops of exciting new plays and musicals, including Anne of Green Gables by Matte O'Brien and Matt Vinson and Sweetwater by Sean Mahoney and Patricia Noonan. In 2018, she was selected as a semifinalist in the Lotte Lenya Competition.

Carly is now Elphaba Standby on the Broadway North American Tour of Wicked. She occasionally defies gravity.

As a voice actor, Carly has lent her voice to clients such as Snapchat, Oakley, Asurion, Verizon, Modsy, Lively, Mirror, and the Ohio Community Development Corporation.

Music-wise, Carly plays bass guitar, flute, and piano. She also dabbles in some other slightly more obscure instruments like the glockenspiel & theremin.

Carly lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Eric, and their two cats, Harry & Benny.
